Katrina “Kat Tat” Jackson is a young woman of many talents: tattoo artist, painter, entrepreneur, philanthropist, social media influencer, and reality television star. Growing up in Chicago, she began to embrace her artistic ability at a very young age. At 16, she took first place with one of the drawings at a local art contest and was then flown to Florida to compete with over 3,000 students around the world. Kat went on to study mathematics at the University of Missouri, where she discovered her love for tattooing. She began tattooing in her dorm room after class and ultimately decided to leave school to pursue it full time.
Kat’s claim to fame came after being discovered on VH1’s hit series “Black Ink Crew: Chicago”, where she impressed the world by performing a magnificent tattoo on her own thigh. She has since done tattoos for countless celebrities and athletes such as Super Bowl champions Shane Ray and Jamie Collins, and rappers Young MA and King Louie, to name a few. Her artwork has been displayed on numerous platforms. One of her paintings was recently featured on a billboard in Times Square NYC, and one of her recent back tattoos was the topic of discussion on ESPN’s “His and Hers”. She also had two exhibitions during Art Basel in Miami.
Kat’s creative talents along with her exposure enabled her to move to Los Angeles, where she continues to expand her brand; focusing on her tattoo clients, art shows, and now a clothing line.
